Our business was founded on the philosophy of providing the best possible service, for the best possible product, for the best possible prices. It is still our philosophy today. Some retail outlets offer a good retail price if you can show them a competitor's written quote. This is not necessary with River's Edge - we offer you the best price right off the bat.

Being lovers of the outdoors, we took a college course in canoe building and built our first canoe in 1989. Since then, we have built numerous canoes. Some of these were for private use, others for charity raffles, etc. In fact one church raised over $8,000 raffling off one of our hand-made, cedar strip canoes! We expanded into ready made canoes (such as Scott Canoes) as we soon got requests for these.

Today kayaks have become an important part of our business. We have participated in many home shows and sportsman shows over the years, but the best advertising for us has been word of mouth. People seem to appreciate the very personal service they receive from us as well as the quality and prices.

We have travelled all over Ontario and many states looking for the best quality canoes & kayaks. Folks trust us that we know our products and stand behind them. We often hear people say "Am I ever glad we found you". We hope we inspire you to say the same.
