A World Champion paddler, Brendan has over 15
years experience and
knowledge in virtually every type of kayak (and some canoes!).
He's
thrilled to share with you the joy of the sport and help you
develop
the skills to fully enjoy and take advantage of this wonderful
activity!
Each lesson includes 2 hours of on-water instruction
and will be
customized to cover strokes, technique, safety, tying down
boats,
current, and even tips on fishing from your kayak.
Bio
Brendan competed as a professional freestyle
kayaking athlete for over
8 years, is a 3 time Canadian National Champion and winner
of the 2003
World Championship in Graz Austria in squirt boating.
Brendan's
travels have taken him to rivers all in all corners of the
world
including the Patagonia's in Chile, heliboating in New Zealand,
across
Europe, and to virtually every US state. Brendan has also
sea kayaked
the Grand Canyon, been a feature kayak angler on The Kayak
Fishing TV
show, and is in the process of building his second cedar strip
canoe.
He works for a publishing and production company called The
Heliconia
Press that specializes in paddlesports instruction and other
outdoor

Registration Information
We will be meeting in Beachburg at 5:00pm and
shuttling to the river at 5:30pm. Full details will be provided
while registering.
